Microsoft Zune HD 16GB / Original Box / Zune HD AV Dock
I've had this Zune HD since buying it new sometime around ~2010, and it's spent the last 10 or so years sitting in the box. The front of the device is in great condition with no cracks or deep scratches, but the back suffered damage after using it in a car mount. There's damage to the corners and the finish on the back, so make sure to check out all the pictures.
Included in this auction is the rare
Zune HD "AV Dock." Unlike other Zune docks, this one was released specifically for the Zune HD, and features digital TOSLINK output + HDMI to display HD content on a connected display, which is where the zune gets its "HD" name from. The included remote allows you to control the device from across the room or navigate menus on a connected display.
The standard media controls on the remote will work with just the device docked, however, you can ONLY navigate menus using the remote when it's hooked up to a display. (This is not a bug, it's how the dock works. I found that out the hard way back when I bought it.) The front of the dock lights up with a white zune logo when connected. Note:
The antenna cable on the dock has been clipped off, it was frayed down to bare copper when I found it in storage. This has been circled in the images. Note:
The remote needs a new button cell battery to work. There are numerous small scratches on the glossy plastic surface of both the dock and the remote, I've tried to capture this on camera as best as possible.
Included in the box is all associated documentation, it DOES NOT
include the original earbuds or USB cable. The included dock can be used to sync & charge the zune over USB.
Tested for full functionality, plays and sounds great. Has not been formatted and contains about 200 songs along with a handful of games. Battery seems to hold a charge, but I've not tested for how long.
